Memorial Benches UK was deeply honoured to be part of an incredible surprise memorial project for John Stroud, the only Boltonian sailor killed in the Falklands War 40 years ago.
Unveiled in a local churchyard in Dunscar, the personalised memorial bench brings a tangible tribute closer to home for John's widow, Jean Stroud-Mort, who was overwhelmed by the community's gesture. Jean expressed her comfort that, through the bench, people will never forget her husband's sacrifice.
Memorial Benches UK Supports a National Tribute ~ The #TonysTen Memorial
We are profoundly honoured to have donated the memorial bench for the Mi Amigo crash site in Endcliffe Park, Sheffield. This cherished teak bench stands as a dual tribute- celebrating the ten heroic American airmen who sacrificed their lives in 1944 and commemorating the decades of unwavering dedication shown by local hero, Tony Foulds.
The bench, engraved with the iconic #TonysTen hashtag, is a lasting symbol of remembrance and honour.
