Commercial Case Study | North Yorkshire Council Strategic Partnership

In the Face of Deep Loss, Find Comfort and Peace with a Lasting Tribute Crafted with Care

Project Overview and Institutional Requirements

North Yorkshire Council approached our Trade Division in early 2025 with a requirement for a significant quantity of high specification public seating to support a large scale regional project. The client’s primary objective was to find a partner capable of delivering durable, aesthetically consistent furniture that could withstand the demands of a high traffic public environment. Specifically, the project required a mixture of our Great Maytham 3 seat and 4 seat profiles to provide ample communal seating while maintaining a heritage aesthetic.

The Memorial Benches UK Solution

Leveraging our 25 years of expertise and trust, we managed the entire procurement and logistical process in house. We provided a large volume of Great Maytham benches, selected for their robust design and traditional mortise and tenon joinery. To ensure a seamless experience for the council’s grounds team, we conducted a nationwide White Glove delivery. Every bench arrived at the site fully assembled, on a date and time scheduled precisely to suit the council's project timeline.

Garden Bench Key Features and Logistical Data

Client: North Yorkshire Council. Scope: Bulk supply of Great Maytham 3 seat and 4 seat versions. Material: 100% Sustaibable Certified Grade A Teak Heartwood. Logistics: Direct in person delivery of fully assembled units. Quality Control: On site inspection and formal sign off for every individual bench. Durability and Professional Sign Off

A critical component of our Expertise and Trust is our commitment to on site quality assurance. Upon arrival in North Yorkshire, each 3 seat and 4 seat bench was meticulously checked by our delivery team before the final sign off. This ensured that every piece of furniture met our splinter free 240 grit finish standards and structural safety requirements. By delivering the benches fully assembled, we eliminated the need for council labour allowing their team to focus on immediate site placement.

Project Outcome and Preferred Supplier Status

As a result of this successful large scale order, North Yorkshire Council has formally appointed Memorial Benches UK as a Preferred Supplier. We now regularly coordinate with their parks and bereavement departments to supply large quantities of benches for ongoing municipal projects. This partnership stands as a testament to our ability to handle complex commercial logistics with the same care and personalisation we offer to our individual families in Ticehurst.

Whether you are managing a municipal park, a heritage site or a large scale urban development, our Trade Division is equipped to provide the logistical support and high quality timber your project demands.
